Question Civil War Battlefield Ghosts or What Were They?

For clarity, let me first address the question some might ask as to "what was I doing dressing up like a Civil war solddier and reenacting various battles that took place from 1861-1865 in Georgia,Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and several other states"? Well, it is a hobby of mine and having had about 12 or 13 ancestors that fought for North Carolina in that war, I just found the idea of reliving what they endured a point of historical curiosity and something I thought I'd enjoy. I had no idea what I was getting into, just costs of a uniform, for example, though not everyone wore one but if one was identified with a particular division as I was, figure about $ 2,000.00 and up dependding on rank and the other things that a soldier would have. A rifle, not an authentic one unless one wanted to risk it being exposed to bad weather, would make up the majority of the costs, unless one had a horse and everything authentic about what was involved in "horse ware" for that time period. Everything had to be authentic or close to it; a replica was acceptable but everything from hats to underware or socks was supposed to be as close to "authentic like" as possible.I am still involved and firmly believe I have had contact wwith "ghosts" for lack of a better word, with "soldiers" killed on various battlefields. Sometimes it's the words "they" used, acting as it is still a war going on, suddendly "appearing" or "vanishing" where nothing obstructed ones vision; as in walking into a wooded area as opposed to being in the open and there is nothing to obstruct ones vision but , as in some caes, a "person" of question might be seen walking out in the open, I sneeze and open my eyes and the "person" has vanished, as into thin air. Others might seem tto walk around in a "daze", Some i have gotten close to, to see where they were wounded, as their shirt would be wet with what appeared to be dry/wet blood or blood stains. Some are very "friendly" and engage in conversation while other seem removed from all that iis going on around them, as if a film repeating the last things they did before being killed. I am a member of the 26th NORTH CAROLINA, rank may vary but I have decided again this year to go "horseless", as it too costly.Since my ancestors served in the 26th, I assume it wil be just a matter of time that i run into one or more of them and I have no idea how our meeting(s) will go, as all made it back home and died a natural death but how do I fit into the "space/time concept? Can their preasant/future in me, as a several great grandson removed from them, be speaking to them in their present, my past? Anybody figure that out, let me know
