Hi all,

My name is Harvey and I'm the current Community President at ChannelFuse (unfortunately, Omniscient was demoted due to prior commitments). I join Paranormal Forum today out of personal interest of the subject, and also on a professional note.

As Community President, it's my job to form a bond between the members of ChannelFuse and the other administrators. Basically, I'm the one who takes what you say, and does my best to make it a reality. It's my role to keep all memberbases over thirty odd forums happy.

The other reason I joined was to help sort out some staffing here at Paranormal Forum. There's no active administrators or moderators, which is bad for activity and security. I'll be appointing staff members in the near future.

To tell you all a bit about myself, I'm a student, webmaster, sportsman, and many other things. I play volleyball and basketball on the national stage, and in about a week's time, I'll be going down to Canberra to compete in the national titles for volleyball. Aside from that, I train three hours a day for three days a week in the Volleyball Australia Elite Development Program at the Queensland Academy of Sport. So, when I'm not online, you can bet your bottom dollar I'm doing some kind of sport (or school related work).

I became interested in computers in grade 3 at school, and ever since, my knowledge on the topic has been vastly expanding. I've administrated and moderated many forums over the past few years - I'm a forums addict and I spend in excess of 90% of my computer time on forums. I've probably been a member of over a hundred forums in the past two to three years.

As far as being a webmaster goes, I've set up a few small sites and forums and worked on them as personal projects. Of course, I'm also involved in the development of the thirty odd ChannelFuse forums. It's safe to say I know what I'm doing and that I'm your go-to man if you have any problems.

So you might be wondering what plans I have for Paranormal Forum. Well, basically, I want to appoint staff. That's vital. Without someone to keep an eye on the forum (even though it's rather inactive), security becomes a big problem. Over at ChannelHQ, we're in the process of appointing administrators for every forum. If no one takes an interest here at Paranormal Forum, I'll take on the duty. If you are interested, you can look at me as a selector, as they'd say in the sporting world. I'm looking for someone who knows what they're doing and is dedicated.

Aside from staffing, I'm going to be looking to increase activity all together. I've asked that a few pilot members from ChannelHQ get behind me and help get this site on its feet. There's also the aspect of possible mergers for the site. One thing we like to do from time to time is to scout out the best competing forums and purchase them to add content to the site. It's a quick and efficient way to get activity.

As for 'public release' - when we officially release Paranormal Forum to the public - you'll have to wait a little longer. The ChannelFuse Lifestyles & Society channel isn't set to be released for a couple of months yet. PF is part of that channel.
